Abstract

Introduction; The development of a culture of patient safety is one of the main focuses of health workers, especially doctors in developed countries, doctors form their own group of institutions to improve the culture of patient safety in hospitals. The most frequent obstacles encountered, especially regarding the culture of patient safety, are the behavior of health workers or health workers and the support of the top management team which is still not optimal.

Method; The method in this study is to use the term literature study or commonly also referred to as literature study which has the meaning of being carried out by looking for data and or information on the results of scientific research in the form of journals, reference books and or other publication materials available in libraries.

Results and Discussions; Based on risk assessment, risk control, and incident reporting are still poorly implemented by management and health workers, while for learning and knowledge about patient safety, many have understood although the incident reporting format is rarely known. The implementation of solutions, especially policy making, SOP and patient safety guidelines, already exists in most hospitals, but the implementation of these policies, SOP and patient safety guidelines has not been implemented thoroughly. Management's commitment has a significant effect on patient safety.
