Abstract

Risky sexual behavior increases the likelihood of undesirable outcomes such as pregnancy outside of marriage/unwanted pregnancy, abortion, dropping out of school, psychosocial disorders, sexually transmitted diseases, and HIV/AIDS infection; therefore, it requires firm information from various parties such as family, school, peers, religious stakeholders, and in the use of information access. This research aims to identify the variables related with teenagers' risk sexual activity in the service area of the KotoTinggi Health Center in Lima Puluh Kota in 2019. Utilized is a quantitative research technique of analytic investigation using a cross-sectional design. 196 respondents are selected using a proportionate stratified random selection method. A data collecting tool employs a questionnaire. The Chi-square test and multiple logistic regression were employed for data analysis. The result of the statistical test indicates that there is a correlation between age, knowledge, the role of peers, access to information, family roles, lifestyle, and religious understanding of risky sexual behavior among adolescents in the work area of Koto Tinggi Health Center in Lima Puluh Kota in 2019, but there is no correlation between the role of school and sex and risky sexual behavior. Access to information was identified as the most influential element driving unsafe sexual behavior. It is anticipated that the Ministry of Health, schools, and BKKBN will be able to effectively administer the Youth Care Health Services Program.
