Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Pemanfaatan Ruang Laktasi di Rumah Sakit
Abstract
The hospital's lactation room is designed to provide comfort and privacy for breastfeeding mothers so that it can support the smooth provision of exclusive breastfeeding, especially after giving birth. Although lactation rooms have become standard in many hospitals, challenges in their utilization still exist. Various factors influence the successful use of this space, which then has an impact on the success of exclusive breastfeeding.
This study aims to review previous research that describes the use of lactation rooms in hospitals, analyze the influencing factors, and provide recommendations for optimizing the use of lactation rooms to support exclusive breastfeeding.
This research used a systematic review approach that was carried out based on the 2020 Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA). A literature search was carried out systematically using the Google Scholar database to obtain the latest evidence regarding factors that influence the use of lactation rooms at home illness and its impact on the success of exclusive breastfeeding.
Even though lactation rooms in hospitals already exist, their use is still hampered by factors such as less strategic locations, limited facilities, and lack of information and education for breastfeeding mothers. Hospitals need to ensure that lactation rooms are not only available but also managed well so that they can be utilized optimally by mothers who need them.
